A Ubisoft Massive não iria lançar novos conteúdos para o jogo após a Title Update 12, porém, parece que os planos mudaram.
A Ubisoft anunciou que The Division 2 receberá mais conteúdo novo em 2021, apesar dos planos anteriores de interromper as atualizações após a Title Update 12.
A Title Update 12 foi lançado em dezembro, dando início à 4ª temporada da expansão Warlords of New York e adicionando muito conteúdo novo ao jogo, especialmente para jogadores com o DLC mais recente. Devido a isso, se presumiu que essa seria a última grande atualização de conteúdo de The Division 2. A própria desenvolvedora Ubisoft Massive chamou a 4ª temporada de atualização “End of Watch”, e como parecia que o estúdio estava ocupado com seu ambicioso jogo de Star Wars, com certeza parecia que The Division 2 estava em seus anos de crepúsculo. Mas, ao que parece, a Ubisoft não está totalmente certa deste fim. Confira o anuncio oficial:

A Massive confirmou que o plano era realmente parar de dar à The Division 2 novos conteúdos após a Title Update 12, mas que o estúdio havia mudado de ideia. A empresa não está nos dando muitas informações, mas sabemos que estamos recebendo “conteúdo adicional para The Division 2” e sabemos que será lançado em algum momento deste ano, mas fora isso, as coisas estão obscuras. O que nos resta é aguardar pelas novidades, o que não deve demorar tanto.
